1. About Calm Quest
Calm Quest is a curated platform offering experiences, stays, and moments designed to promote rest, reflection, and emotional well-being.
We partner with independent hosts and venues to bring together unique experiences such as retreats, ocean therapy sessions, mindful stays, and restorative activities.
Calm Quest acts primarily as a curator and booking facilitator. Some experiences are hosted by third-party partners.
2. Booking Process
Experiences listed on our website may require booking confirmation via WhatsApp to ensure availability.
Submitting a booking request does not automatically guarantee a reservation. A booking is only confirmed once:
Availability is confirmed
Payment has been received and verified
You receive confirmation from Calm Quest
This process ensures that each experience is scheduled properly within the host’s availability.
3. Payments
Payments may be processed through:
Secure payment gateways
PayFast payment links
Direct payment arrangements communicated by Calm Quest
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be completed within the timeframe communicated in your booking confirmation. Failure to complete payment may result in the reservation being released.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Because many Calm Quest experiences are limited and curated with independent hosts, cancellation policies may vary.
Unless otherwise stated:
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the experience may qualify for rescheduling.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the experience may not be eligible for refunds.
No-shows are non-refundable.
Rescheduling is subject to host availability.
5. Third-Party Experiences
Some experiences are provided by independent hosts, venues, or service providers.
Calm Quest:
Carefully curates partners
Does not directly control third-party operations
Is not responsible for actions, delays, or changes made by hosts
Participants agree to follow the rules, safety guidelines, and terms of the host providing the experience.
6. Participant Responsibility
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally able to participate in an experience.
By booking an experience through Calm Quest, you acknowledge that:
Some experiences may involve outdoor environments
Conditions such as weather, tides, or host availability may affect scheduling
Participation is voluntary
Participants accept responsibility for their own safety and well-being.
7. Experience Changes
Calm Quest or the host may occasionally need to adjust:
Dates
Locations
Experience format
This may occur due to weather, safety considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.
Where possible, alternative arrangements or rescheduling options will be offered.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Calm Quest website including:
text
imagery
branding
curated experience descriptions
belongs to Calm Quest and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
9. Website Use
By using this website you agree not to:
misuse the platform
attempt unauthorized access
copy or reproduce content without consent
Calm Quest reserves the right to refuse service where misuse occurs.
10. Limitation of Liability
Calm Quest provides a platform to discover curated experiences.
While we strive to ensure quality experiences, Calm Quest is not liable for:
injuries during experiences
host cancellations outside our control
weather-related disruptions
personal loss or damage
Participation in experiences is at the guest’s own discretion.
